Israel cuts electricity, water supplies for prisoners

Days of Palestine, West Bank -Israeli occupation authorities cut on Monday electricity, water supplies for Palestinian prisoners in Nafha Prison located in Al-Naqab Desert.

In a statement, the Palestinian Prisoners’ Committee (PPC) said: “A state of tension was prevailing across the whole prison.”

The Committee also expected that the prisoners would clash with the prison administration if the services are not turned back on.

It held the occupation full responsibility for the prisoners’ problems all around the Israeli prisons, where the Palestinians are locked in.

Meanwhile, the Palestinian Prisoners Centre for Studies said that the Israeli Salim Court postponed the trial of the female prisoner Ansam Shawahneh, 19, from West Bank city of Qalqilya, for the fourth time.

Shawahneh, a university student, was arrested on 9 March and accused of attempted murder after it was claimed that she was caught with a knife near the illegal settlement of Kidomim. She is also accused of being affiliated with a hostile organisation.
