nsnbc : At lest 15 rockets have been fired into Israel from the besieged Gaza Strip last night and over the morning of June 30. Sirens went off throughout southern Israel prompting people to take refuge in shelters. The barrage comes as Israel continues its crack-down in response to the alleged kidnapping of teenagers by Hamas almost three weeks ago.

The Jerusalem Post reports that at least 15 rockets were fired against targets in Israel , causing light to moderate damage to some homes and shrapnel damage close to impact sites.
Israeli sources report that some 40 rockets have been launched into Israel since Israel responded with a crack-down, mass arrests and bombing raids to the alleged kidnapping of three Jewish teens from the illegal Yeshiva settlement in the West Bank 18 days ago.
Nobody has yet claimed responsibility for last nights and Monday morning’s barrage. The Al-Nasser Salah al-Din Brigades, the military wing of the Popular Resistance Committees has according to the Ma’an news agency, which is closely tied to Hamas, claimed responsibility for five rockets which were fired from the Gaza Strip towards Eshkol in southern Israel over the weekend.
The Al-Nasser Salah al-Din Brigades have reportedly no connection with other local popular resistance committees in the West Bank. Ma’an reports that the brigades issued a statement claiming responsibility for these five rockets as response to the Israeli crimes against Palestinians in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip and ongoing violations against prisoners.
It is noteworthy that Israeli authorities, thus far, failed to present any form of verifiable evidence for the alleged kidnapping of three teenagers 18 days ago. It is also noteworthy that Israeli P.M. has said that the barrage of rockets may lead to further Israeli air strikes and to an expansion of its military operations into the Gaza Strip.
