TEL AVIV — Israel has detailed the Hamas missile and rocket arsenal during the war in mid-2014.

The Israeli military said Hamas contained 6,000 rockets during the first stage of the 50-day war in July and August. The military said this included hundreds of medium- and long-range rockets, many of them which were fired during the war.

“Terrorist organizations in the Gaza Strip currently possess around 10,000 rockets including long-range missiles such as the M-302,” the military said. “Hamas is in control of 6,000 of these rockets.”

In a report on July 10, the military provided the most detailed accounting of Hamas’ arsenal. The military said Hamas contained “tens of long-range rockets,” particularly the M-302, with a range of 160 kilometers.

The military reported two launches of M-302, with a 114 kilogram conventional warhead, from the Gaza Strip toward the northern port city of Haifa. During the war, Israeli officials asserted that Hamas contained only a handful of M-302s, manufactured in Syria.

Israel has asserted that it destroyed up to 70 percent of the Gazan missile arsenal. But in November 2014, the military acknowledged that Hamas was testing what sources termed a long-range rocket.

The military said Hamas contained more than 400 medium-range rockets, which could strike targets up to 80 kilometers away. The report said the rockets, identified as M-75, were produced in the Gaza Strip.

Hamas was also said to have produced 200 extended-range BM-21 Grad rockets, which could fly 45 kilometers. The Islamic regime also acquired 1,000 similar Grads from smugglers in neighboring Egypt.

The military said Hamas produced 200 Grads and acquired another 200, all with a range of 20 kilometers. Hamas was also said to have manufactured more than 1,000 Kassam rockets and acquired at least 2,500 weapons — all with a range of 15 kilometers.

The Iranian-sponsored Islamic Jihad was said to have maintained an arsenal of 5,500 rockets, with a range of up to 80 kilometers. The military said Jihad produced more than 100 medium-range rockets and 200 enhanced Grads with a range of 45 kilometers.
