Israeli forces damage tens of Palestinian olive trees

Days of Palestine, West Bank –Israeli occupation forces and settlers damaged tens of Palestinian olive trees in Deir Ballout Neighbourhood of Salfit, north West Bank.

A huge Israeli bulldozer protected by heavy number of Israeli occupation troops razed the Palestinian land, which was planted with olive trees.

Eyewitnesses said that the Israeli bulldozer damaged at least 65 Palestinian olive trees in the area, which is owned by Palestinian farmers.

Researcher in the issue of the illegal Israeli settlement Khalid Maali told Days of Palestine that the Israeli bulldozer had levelled the Palestinian land, preparing for expansion of the Israeli of Leshim.

He said that this settlement had started as a group of settlers’ lodges, then it developed to a settlement recognised by the Israeli government in 2013.

According to Maali, this settlement encircles one of the most beautiful historical Palestinian sites, which might be swallowed by the settlers.
