Israeli forces shot Palestinian youth in West Bank

Israeli occupation forces shot wounded on Tuesday Palestinian youth near Huwwara Checkpoint, south of West Bank city of Nablus.

Eyewitnesses said that the Israeli occupation forces opened fire at the upper part of the body of the Palestinian youth.

Palestinian Red Crescent ambulances rushed to the scene and the Palestinian paramedics wanted to offer first aid to the Palestinian youth.

The Israeli occupation forces prevented the Palestinian paramedics from offering first aid to the Palestinian youth, who remained bleeding for more than 15 minutes.

An Israeli ambulance arrived in the scene and offered first aid to the Palestinian youth before evacuating him to an Israeli hospital, where he was announced under military confinement.

Israeli military sources claimed that the Palestinian youth had a knife and attempted to stab an Israeli soldier.

Meanwhile, the eyewitnesses stressed that the Palestinian youth was shot at a very long distance from the Israeli soldiers.

“I did not see a knife, but if he had one, he did not pose any danger on the Israeli soldiers who shot him from a very long distance,” one of the eyewitnesses told Days of Palestine.
