Israeli plane sprays Gaza farms with poisonous gases

Israeli occupation sprayed on Tuesday morning poisonous gases on the Palestinian farms in the east of the Gaza borders.

Conformed accounts of Palestinian farmers reiterated that this is the second time that the Israeli occupation spays poisonous gases on their crops along the eastern borders of the Gaza Strip.

“When I arrived my farm in the early morning, I was surprised to see an Israeli farming plane crossing the borders towards farms inside Gaza,” farmer Tawfiq Ali told Days of Palestine. “The plane started to spray unidentified chemicals.”

Palestinian farmers have sustained huge losses in past years because of the Israeli poisonous chemicals sprayed along the border line.

Some 44,000 Palestinians are working in agriculture, making up around 11 percent of the territory’s work force.

The Gaza Strip, home to more than two million Palestinians, has been reeling under a crippling Israeli blockade since 2007.
