Israeli troops kidnap girl over claims of planned attack

Days of Palestine, West Bank -Israeli occupation forces kidnapped on Tuesday morning Palestinian school girl at Za’tara Military Checkpoint in West Bank city of Nablus over claims of planned attack.

Witnesses said that the Palestinian girl was heading to her school, when she was dragged from a Palestinian taxi at the illegal Israeli military checkpoint.

The witnesses said that they did not know why they school girl was badly treated, thoroughly searched and then kidnapped.

However, Spokeswoman of the Israeli army Lubna al-Samri said that the 17-year-old Palestinian girl was “arrested” over a planned stab attack.

She claimed they the Israeli soldiers at the checkpoint received intelligence information that this girl planned to stab Israelis.

Al-Samri claimed that the Israeli soldiers found a kitchen knife inside her school bag, but the eyewitnesses reiterated to Days of Palestine that nothing but school books and notebooks were found in her bag.

They said that a small piece of bread was also found in the girl’s bag.

Israeli occupation soldiers have executed, wounded and arrested a number of Palestinian citizens at Za’tara since the start of the ongoing Intifada in last October.
