Hundreds of police officers, some in riot gear, descended on Zuccotti Park overnight in a surprise sweep of the Occupy Wall Street headquarters that Mayor Bloomberg said had become an “intolerable situation.”

Hours later, a judge granted a temporary restraining order prohibiting the city from enforcing rules of the plaza — like a ban on tents and tarps — that she said were published “after the occupation began.” Bloomberg said at a City Hall briefing that the city had planned to let people back into the park at 8 a.m. but decided to keep it closed while officials evaluated the order.

Both sides were due in court at 11:30 a.m. See the order here. About an hour before the hearing, hundreds of protesters marched back to the park demanding to be let back in. Some were waving the court order.

In the overnight raid, many protesters in the two-month-old occupation left peacefully, but some refused to go, chaining themselves to trees and to each other. They chanted at police, “Whose park? Our park!”

There are many. Unfortunately most do not get the appointments to higher judicial office because their integrity gets in the way.

The judge that granted TRO is not allowed to hear the case at 11;30. Also police last night grounded media helicopters effectively creating a no fly zone and prevented media access. protestors are being refused entry back into the park even with judge order. Police are arresting those trying to get back in.

AJ’s coverage of this so far is a bloody joke. 30 minutes into his show and no mention. No major stories on his site. WTF AJ one would think you would be all over it. What gives? What is going on AJ

There’s more things going on than the occupy of course what happened was obviously wrong and here we are talking about it on an article that his organization has put out so its not like he’s ignoring it. I think breaking up a pedophile ring is also important not to mention the police state we’re currently going head first into give credit where credit is due Alex is trying his hardest why don’t you make a youtube channel and speak out against this? We can’t just get behind Alex we need to follow in his footsteps and join the fight instead of being observers. If we start fighting among ourselves we loose our enemy isn’t each other its this tyranny and all the corruption that is part of it and that includes the NYPD thugs.

  2. They are doing the same with the OWS’s that is taking away free speech and saying the truth.

They are doing it with Dr Ron Paul also.

But it ain’t going to go away because they dismantle the camps? The problems are still there.

The more they suppress the truth, the more it filters to the surface.

” to every action is an oppsing equal reaction”” it is called equilibrium or balance and one things the Universe is all about is Balance and re-balance what has gone off balance.

  3. Your bible mentions two standing in a field and only one is taken. The person who wholeheartedly believes in the dream shall accompany the dream.
in lamon terms: if you wholeheartedly believe in the dream, you shall accompany the dream.

so those who truly believe in peace will not be those with the guns and the killing intentions. ?

    or will they?

  4. Judges on the take. Thats all.

  5. Real convenient they are allowed to stay and protest after all of their equipment, tents, food and clothing were thrown into trash trucks illegally and against the 4th amendment of the Constitution. The city should have to pay for brand new tents, food, clothing, bikes and any other thing that was trashed. I’m not a supporter of the OWS but I am a supporter of the Constitution. These hippies really need to stop spending their money on weed and invest in arms. No agency or police force wil ever truly respect your 1st and 4th amendment rights unless you make them respect your 2nd Constitutional right to bear arms and you do have the legal ability to fend off illegal apprehension and physical violence including the police themselves who are the one’s breaking the law and the oath they swore to uphold the Constitution of the United States, which they are not.

  6. It is surprising that blacks were absent during the NYC protests, videos`s don`t lie. It is highly likely that their racial goals clash.
