Man jailed 12 years over shooting

A man has been sentenced to 12 years in prison for fatally shooting a Perth man over a $700 debt.

The man, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, pleaded guilty to the manslaughter of 39-year-old Mario Perrin at his home in October 2010.

He had fired his gun three times, shooting Mr Perrin in the head.

The man had previously pleaded not guilty to murder but changed his plea to manslaughter.

He will be eligible for parole after serving 10 years in jail.
