Member Of Congress: Manipulating ‘Naive, Self-Absorbed Sheep’ Is Easy

An anonymous member of Congress has published a tell-all book that lifts the lid on corruption in the political system, the arrogance of the elite, and the gullibility of the American public.

An anonymous member of Congress has published a tell-all book that lifts the lid on corruption in the political system, the arrogance of the elite, and the gullibility of the American public.

The book is called The Confessions of Congressman X and it has rocked the corridors of power in Washington D.C. with insiders arguing about who the author is, and bets being placed over which side of the political divide the member of Congress belongs to.

With public trust in the institutions that govern us hitting an all time low according to recent polls, it is no surprise quotations such as these from the book’s back cover are creating a buzz in Washington:

“Most of my colleagues are dishonest career politicians who revel in the power and special-interest money that’s lavished upon them.”

“My main job is to keep my job, to get reelected. It takes precedence over everything.”

“Fundraising is so time consuming I seldom read any bills I vote on. Like many of my colleagues, I don’t know how the legislation will be implemented, or what it’ll cost.”

“Voters are incredibly ignorant and know little about our form of government and how it works.”

“It’s far easier than you think to manipulate a nation of naive, self-absorbed sheep who crave instant gratification.”

“It’s about getting credit now, lookin’ good for the upcoming election.”

“We spend money we don’t have and blithely mortgage the future with a wink and a nod. Screw the next generation.”

The Confessions of Congressman X book

In all of these quotes you can smell the contempt of career politicians for the people.  They know that society has become so dumbed-down by mainstream media that it is easy to trick and manipulate most of the population.

These career politicians are very well aware that the key to keeping their lucrative jobs and places at the elite’s table is raising as much money as possible.  According to the Washington Post, the candidate who splashes the most cash on the campaign trail wins a staggering 91 percent of the time.

It is not about serving the people, making the country great, or ensuring there is a bright future for our children and grandchildren.  Never before have we been so far away from the founding fathers’ idea of ‘citizen politicians.’

Considering the system we have in place now, it makes sense for a career politician to spend their time raising as much money as possible and neglecting the things they were actually elected to do.  If they want to keep their jobs, this is what they must do.  Whether they do any good for their constituents is basically immaterial – the gullible public will be won over by flashy promises and expensive election advertising, as well as the mainstream media telling them who to vote for.

Considering the nature of the revelations and the timing of its release, The Confessions of Congressman X could be one of the most important political books of our times.
