May 1, 2012  Boston, Massachusetts, and Tacoma, Washington region – Earthfiles has received many more strange boom reports since reporting on April 26, 2012, about the bizarre and still-unexplained metallic, jolting booms throughout North America and abroad, that have persisted since February 2012. Recently a series of boom phenomena all happening between April 12 and 14, ranged from Bath, England; to central Ohio; to Tacoma, Washington; to San Diego County, California; to Columbia, Missouri. Below emails begin with booms and some light flashes in the Boston, Massachusetts, region on April 27 and 29, 2012, followed by more reports from the Tacoma, Washington, region that include strange military jet and helicopter maneuvers west of reported booms.

“Unexplained sounds, flashes spark rumors in Roslindale”

This May 1st email came from an environmental engineer who works in Boston waste site cleanup and sent the Boston Metro news story about “unexplained sounds and flashes of light” on Friday, April 27, and Sunday, April 29, 2012, in the area of Zeller Street near the Fallon Field in Roslindale, a suburb southwest of Boston.

Engineer’s May 1, 2012 email:  Apparently, this happened over the weekend, but didn’t make it to the local free Boston Metro paper till Tuesday morning, May 1. For the record, we DO have “fault lines” in Mass, lots of them, but we’re not particularly earthquake prone and we do NOT have fracking here.

I also have heard odd noises at times, but they always seem to be “explainable” more or less, or at least, they seem that way:
(a) Loud heavy traffic and/or airplane noises late at night, even though we aren’t close to any highways per se, there are some busy roads but even then, they were well away from where I was walking. It was about 11 pm, walking home from my bus stop on an otherwise quiet street, it was annoying how “loud” it was but wasn’t a time I was normally out there so didn’t have a comparison at the time, but another walk a few nights later was not nearly as noisy…
(b) “horn” type sound – most like an ocean buoy of the “whistle” or “horn” type (like very deep, loud blowing air across a bottle sound) which was very noticeable on Washington St. in downtown Boston and which I decided had to be wind through a multistory parking garage – but it was very odd, never heard it before or since.

Subject:   More booms April 30th in Kingston, WA, about 10:30 p.m. PDT

My husband, mother and I live in Kingston, Washington. We heard the booms the same night as those heard in Lacey, Washington (April 12, 2012). We were inside the house with the t.v. on, and the booms were so loud, we muted the t.v. and listened in awe.

Kingston, Washington, (upper right circle) is north of Tacoma
and Lacey. Residents heard loud booms in Kingston, Puyallup,
and Lacey on the same night of Thursday, April 12, 2012.

Tonight (Apr. 30) at around 10:30 p.m, I was walking my dog outside around the neighborhood and was almost home when I heard 6 more booms–4 evenly spaced, then a few seconds nothing, then a 5th boom, then another few seconds of silence and a 6th boom. It sounds like the same kind of boom as others have reported, like something heavy being hurled into an empty dumpster, or a heavy load of something like (maybe) metal and wood being dropped all at once from a considerable height. It doesn’t resemble any sonic boom I’ve ever heard, or any kind of artillery.

Thanks for taking these reports seriously. I was SO glad to know that we were not the only ones hearing this!

I was very intrigued about the metallic booms in Lacey, Washington, because I too heard a loud boom that shook the whole house on the same evening (April 12, 2012) in Puyallup, WA, which is about 35 miles from Lacey.

Puyallup, Washington (far right circle), is southeast of Tacoma (top circle) not far from
Air Force and Army Joint Base Lewis-McChord (middle circle) between Puyallup
and Lacey, Washington (lower left circle). Tacoma to Lacey is 30 miles.

I was listening to your show this morning (May 1, 2012) about the booms heard in Tacoma on April 12th. I had visited the Coast to Coast AM show and saw that you were doing a show on strange earth booms and decided to check out the article.

“The jets kept circling (the sock-shaped UFO). It was very strange.”
– April 12, 2012 Eyewitness, Bath, England

U. K.’s The Sun published this image
described as a “sock-shaped UFO”
after the huge boom mystery of 6:10 PM
local time, April 12, 2012, in southern England.

What was even stranger however; is that I was out on the Washington coast that weekend namely Pacific Beach (Seabrook) and all day on that Friday the 13th and some the 14th, there was a fighter jet circling around making sonic booms in the sky over and over in the same area.

Seabrook and Pacific Beach (far left circle) are where the Puyallup (far right circle) emailer was on Friday to Saturday, April 13 to 14, 2012, where a fighter jet circled making repeated sonic booms and where a Black Hawk helicopter flew very low back and forth along the beach.

Stranger still, when we went down to the beach there was a Black Hawk helicopter that was flying very low, (maybe only one hundred to two hundred feet in the air) along the beach making several passes. It was so close and so loud that we thought it was going to land over the top of us; it was very surreal. All of the events coinciding with one another and we just kept asking ourselves what was going on?

The boom that we heard in Puyallup on April 12th (same night as Lacey series of metallic booms from 9 PM to 3 AM, April 13) was very loud and it sounded like there was an explosion in the basement that shook the whole house. I noticed on your website that some of the booms sounded like someone planted a stick of dynamite right outside of your house and that’s what it sounded like to us. I thought maybe the gas water heater or the gas line going into the basement exploded and had my husband go down and check and see what was going on; we couldn’t figure out what was the cause but it was very disturbing. I ran upstairs to check on the kids and asked my Mother who was staying with us at the time if she had heard the boom. She said she also heard it and thought something happened. Like the gentleman in Missouri (Prof. Dinsmore, Earthfiles April 26, 2012 North America and England.) I also checked the news and internet for days trying to find the cause of the sound and nothing was reported. I did not hear a metallic undertone however as it was just quick and distinct and only happened once. We hear things from Fort Lewis all of the time and never anything that sounded this close like it hit our home.

We have been experiencing strange things around here since the fall of 2011, including the horses tearing through an electric fence only to repeat the same behavior the whole evening over and over (that happened only the weekend before this), strange cloud formations that had shapes like I had never seen before and seemed to be moving into some kind of vortex before they were completely gone and it was as if they had never been there.

“… all of the windows lit up to a total bright white
like a camera flash to the point where you couldn’t see out them.”

One night in October 2011, I was upstairs cleaning out my daughters closet and the kids and the dog all ran upstairs screaming that all of the windows lit up to a total bright white like a camera flash to the point where you couldn’t see out them. There are about four windows in the kitchen area all facing different directions and they said the light was equally intense in all of them. There was no sound of thunder and there had been no lightning that night. So what could it have been? The dog just stood at the top of the stairs growling at nothing and refused to come downstairs. Whatever is going on with the environment, the changes are obvious and the animals are starting to sense what is going on.

Just thought I would share my experience with you in hopes that others come forward about what they might have heard as well.
