Noise sounds more like an underground explosion than an earthquake

An audio engineer has captured on tape the sound of one of the mysterious booms that have been plaguing Clintonville over the last two weeks, and the noise sounds more like an underground explosion than an earthquake.

The sound was recorded by audio engineer Brian Sullivan.

“The first night, no luck. But, Sullivan said he captured a boom from this past Saturday, one minute before 4 a.m. It’s short, but it sounds like a boom,” reports 790 KABC.

One of the comments that keeps cropping up with regard to the Clintonville booms is that the official explanation of earthquakes is inconsistent with what residents are experiencing. You don’t hear an earthquake so much as feel it, whereas the booms are being both felt and heard.

The noise recorded by Sullivan sounds more like a deep underground explosion than a seismic event.

Residents have remained skeptical of the USGS’ assertion that the sounds are being caused by a “swarm” of earthquakes, primarily because Wisconsin is virtually unknown as a region of seismic activity and also because people in the town of Montello 80 miles away have also been hearing the booms.

A 1.5 magnitude earthquake, which according to the USGS occurred last Tuesday, would only be felt by those within a few blocks of its epicenter. Earthquakes on this scale occur regularly in California but residents don’t even feel them, never mind hear them.

Police were flooded with calls on Tuesday night after residents reported hearing the booms louder than before. There was also a handful of calls last night to police that reported booms occurring at around 8pm.

According to the National Earthquake Information Center in Golden, Colo., there was no seismic activity in the area whatsoever on Tuesday night, despite 65 reports of booms from 10:35pm onwards.

If the booms are being artificially created by man-made activity, the culprits are unlikely to own up to it. There are numerous potential scenarios besides seismic activity that could be responsible for the booms, including CO2 sequestration storage, which has been documented to cause “small to moderate earthquakes,” according to Stanford geophysicist Mark Zoback.

Other speculation has centered around secret underground military tunneling work, improper disposal of wastewater from a natural gas fracking operation (also documented to cause earthquakes), or more exotic explanations such as the High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program (HAARP), which is often blamed for unexplained weather and seismic events due to its highly secretive nature.

Infowars is considering sending reporters to the region in an effort to find answers if the booms continue without a satisfactory explanation.

That is without doubt an underground sonic boom.

I’ve already stated that there is only one possiblity for such an occurance. I am going to convert this to a wav and so some sound comparisons on my Debian box. I want to see if I can isolate the wave forms. I want to know EXACTLY what this is. I want to know if it has a doppler shift as well.

Based upon what I just heard, I am convinced based upon evidence that there is a fully operational underground hyper-sonic, electro-magnetic tube system now in use somewhere in the vicinity beneath Clintonville, possibly headed toward Cananda to Alaska.

But I need to compare it to other hyper-sonic waves forms. We already can dimiss the possibility of seismic activity in the area.

I want to know EXACTLY what this is. Just based on the preliminary waves forms I have seen using Audacity on a Debian system, the wave form fits the profile for a sonic boom. It even has a doppler wave form that is moving away from the camera and mic location directly ahead. Whatever it is, it is large becaus the sonic boom last for less than one second but more than half a second on the wave form. It has a dopler effect as well. I would like for more samples to be taken from the Clintonville area to see if we can isolate an opposite dopler effect. This would prove once and for all that the object in motion is moving in oposite directions. I will try to post pics of the wave form along with dopler samples on my blog tomarrow if I am able.

Hmmm.let me estimate, it for example the F15 left a sonic boom signature of 0.1 this object, whatever it is would be about 10 or 11 times larger than an F15 and moving at hyper-sonic speed underground.

An F15 leaves a sonic boom of about 0.1, this was about 10 times, so 63 ft roughly equates to an object in motion of somewhere around 650 ft long moving at hyper-sonic speed on a dopler shift in front of the camera angle.

As of yet, I cannot determine how fast this object is moving, but it is at least past MACH 1, well past.
That was definitely a loud boom. That would make me jump up in the middle of the night and get the guns out.
These noisy are coming from the digging going on below the city of a new under ground city being built. Drive around the look for trucks with the dirt being moved. The dirt has to go some were. This could be miles from your town.

Finally someone recorded it… @0:14 is exactly what we’ve been hearing in VA since last year’s earthquake. I was hoping to find out if they were hearing what we’re hearing. Ours never does it at night or early morning and never just once. It’s always repeated over a period of five minutes or so and there are usually two booms fairly close together. It happens at least once a month. It’s aggravating because it’s something we’ve hear in this area and no one knows what it is.
There is some kind of activity going on and if it a phenomenon the government would have complete interest in knowing the source of such activity.
Since they are taking the approach of falsely stating it as seismic activity. It can be rightly surmised it is government activity of some nature. They know what it is and do not want to say.
The explanation is quite simple:
They are diggin very deep, using explosives, that explains the explosion noises. But WHY? Well, somehow, they plan to activate some chain reaction that will culminate with the Yellowstone super-volcano to unleash its power. This might happen during the next olympic games, they want to throw the “combined disasters” card.

First of all you need a home stereo connection to a sub woofer, or you need a set of high quality headphones (old school style).

Secondly this is a very distinct sound, very man made, no doubt. This is a noise of an impact machine, there are two types, one is gravity based (very old not likely at all), the second is a hydraulic/combo air hammer style (I am almost sure of this). It is used for popping holes(possibly) in sedimentary type rock or possibly igneous type rock, or putting in retaining type pins (very large, and most likely) for structure enhancement or for fastening something very powerful/heavy in place.

Of course I am just a dummy, and am making a wild guess.
Look for trucks in the area moving very large pieces of machinery.

There is not enough information in this audio clip to determine anything – other than documenting that the residents of the area are hearing “something”.

It would be quite helpful to buy some useful audio detection equipment. For example, ShotSpotter is a product used to auto locate acoustic signatures on a 24/7/365 basis. Specifically, it is designed to locate snipers – but, it can be used in this instance.

The system is not that expensive – and there are other competitors in the space (this is not a spam, I have no affiliation or interest in ShotSpotter, it’s company or relations).

I, for one, would be willing to pony up some dough to support someone on Alex’s reporter team to go out and purchase this device – and to set it up in Clintonville. The express purpose of such a set up would be to identify the point source location – and to investigate it’s source. If we can confidently record point source locations over time, I think that may provide enough context to predictively forecast future events (if there are any).

One thing we can tell for certain about this recording, the noise is preceded by a low intensity audio pulse of approximately 9 milliseconds and an overall frequency response of approximately 650 Hertz.

It would be very helpful to understand the geology of the area, in the case that the noise’s source is subterranean. Also, understanding the weather and other environmental aspects – as well as the GPS coordinates and precise timing of the recording (for example, 03:59:03.02) to support further speculation would be helpful.

Oh, and Alea – you’re a tool.
I live in Lodi, WI and I have heard the SAME sounds. Lodi, WI is over 135 miles from Clintonville. This is the exact same sound I heard. When you are actually hearing the sound it is similar to the sound heard in WWII movies when a town is being shelled by the germans.

That has to be a LIE! No way can you feel and hear it without some kind of seismic activity. Now the question is, why are they lying about it, who told them to lie and what is their function other than suck up more govt funding and provide a cover for covert govt underground activities? Are they tunneling underneath the USA connecting their underground bunkers?
The sonic boom doesn’t make much sense to me. Something traveling that fast underground would only need to travel that fast to traverse very long distances. Considering the 80 mile radius that doesn’t seem likely. Digging was my first thought, and if comments here are to believed its been going on for some time now. If so why has this not more constant.

IF digging is what we have here it could have something to do with Blue Beam. Simulating the “Wrath of the Lamb” earthquake.
Or their building a city underground. We know they have bunkers to ride out the worst of times, but cities underground imply years, perhaps decades of hiding. Hope their hiding from us.
Maybe it is blasting AND the Feds nuclear digging machine (that I believe is patented)? People hear the blasting when it is needed but the Feds don’t care.

The only reason I can think of is maybe there is some empty spot in the earth they found that they want to look at, or maybe they want to hide from some 2012 disaster they fear, or maybe just prepare for the The End. Maybe they want to hide all of their gold and themselves. Or maybe they are preparing to bury nuclear waste and that is why they won’t talk. Who knows?
