Exercise Solid Curtain/Citadel Shield 2012 is now underway around the country on 44 Navy installations. Navy officialdom explains that the “annual exercise is designed to enhance the training and readiness of Navy security forces to respond to threats to installations and units,” reports KAPS 660AM in Mount Vernon, Washington.
“The Exercise Plan requires full implementation and sustainment of elevated force protection conditions for at least 48 hours and is anticipated to be from about 12 p.m. on Thursday, March 22 to 12 p.m. Saturday, March 24,” reports TheBayNet.
WAVY-TV 10 in Norfolk, Virginia, reports that the Navy conducted “chilling scenarios” at Joint Expeditionary Base Little-Creek Fort Story in Hampton Roads on Monday.
One scenario involved a military person who went ballistic after serving numerous tours of duty in Afghanistan. “During Monday’s training scenario, an American sailor has turned his weapon against his shipmates and is threatening the security of the harbor,” WAVY-10 reports today.
WAVY-10 cites the murder of civilians in Afghanistan, allegedly by a U.S. soldier, and notes “the stress of combat can be overwhelming and lead to bizarre and violent behavior.”
“At a time when service members are being asked to serve multiple deployments, preparing for this type of scenario is become increasingly more important.”

Soldiers freaking out after numerous tours of duty is now apparently considered terrorism by the government. Solid Curtain-Citadel Shield 2012 is billed as an anti-terrorism exercise.
Otherwise, it is business as usual in America now that we are told we must endure these exercises – attack helicopters flying overhead and (as in the above video) machine guns rattling – for the foreseeable future (because the war on terror is endless).
“Measures have been taken to minimize disruptions to normal base and station operations, but there may be times when the exercise causes increased traffic around bases or delays in base access. Area residents may also see increased security activity associated with the exercise,” notes DCMilitary.com.
In other words, the exercise will also serve to acclimate the public – as have numerous previous exercises – to the idea that it is really quite normal to have the military running around in combat gear and acting as if the country has been attacked by al-Qaeda, or short of that one of their own who has freaked out after witnessing the horrors of Afghanistan or Iraq a half dozen times or more.

AHHHHH thats the motive behind the whole sgt bales deal in afghan. 1st Bales wasn’t alone, witnesses and survivors say this (between 16-20 soldiers), 2nd, this is the training our military will recieve to detain or shoot anyone questioning the status quo… “he’s going nuts (protesting an unlawful order)! shoot him!”.
I believe this is the prelude and motivation behind forcing our military to kill anyone questioning the status quo, thus becomming like the mindless masses… enforcing and defending mainstream rules and regs (ever wonder why people take personal offense when you tell them things like “nike is a horrible company”, “google tracks you and invades your privacy”, etc…).
The idea is to have the public/mass/target-population to embrace personification of the corporate entity and automatically defend any attacks or questioning of the commonly accepted ideals/beliefs/rulesregs as if it’s a personal attack on the individual themselves. Then like-minded individuals nearby will also aid in the defense of the company/entity being questioned.
This ‘training’ is a prelude to instilling this mindset in our military which, as a former-active-duty Marine, already dont think past “yes sir”. They’re trained with the mindset of “commands from officers are commands from God himself, do not question them.”
And some are predicting the next BIG ONE to hit on the 22nd. The 188day cycle thing. Then you have the FEMA mass MRE purchases, the reiteration of the patriot acts defense bill B.S.
saying that in the event of any emergency they will steal everything and form forced labor brigades etc…Since advanced quantum physics DISPROVES ” coincidence” this is disturbing and creepy. Patience as usual, so much endless overkill bad news.

Have you ever heard of the Navy’s Individual Augmentee program? There are quite a few Sailors pounding sand in the Middle East. Yes, many of them leave the wire. And, yes, some have been Killed in Action while serving on their IA. Educate yourself before blabbering incoherently.
For what it’s worth, I take issue with the final statement in this article. The point isn’t to “acclimate the public,” it is to test out the various measures of the Anti-Terrorist/Force Protection plan and determine what hangups they may run into during extended periods of elevated legitimate threat conditions. For example, if delivery trucks are delayed, then it causes problems for the rest of their route which can cause hardship on the trucking company over a 2 week or 1 month period of time. Other issues that can be determined is if there are traffic backups that begin to affect portions of the city around the base as a result of the increased security measures…anyone who has been stationed at Ft. Leonard Wood or Norfolk will know exactly what I’m talking about.
The point about the weapon being used by the Sailor to threaten his shipmates, while interesting isn’t as bad as this article makes it seem. There have been ACTUAL occurances of this happening over the past 10 years. Active shooter threats are a reality that law enforcement and first responders MUST train and prepare for. Additionally, active shooter incidents are rarely associated with “terrorism” is the strictest sense of the word (Maj. Hassan was actually an exeption); more often than not, active shooters occur as a result of bad situations at home, at work, with finances, etc… ALL of which are significant issues for servicemembers. Also note that the NEWS STATION drew the link between the drill and combat stress, not the Navy. Throwing an active shooter scenario into the biggest and most realistic drill that the Navy conducts each year doesn’t mean that they are using it to fight “domestic terrorism,” it just means that they are doing their due diligence to ensure that the military first responders – who rarely receive this level of response training – know what to do if a real active shooter situation ever occurs.
Let’s stick with the stuff that we KNOW the government is doing and not waste time and attention grasping at straws…it does nothing but give the naysayers cannon-fodder to call Alex Jones and Infowars crazy. In a time that we NEED to wake people up, making yourselves and easy target doesn’t help the cause one bit.

Great insight, thank you very much! I think this site has really gone down hill the past month or so. They are always hyperbolic, but it has gotten really bad as of late. They seem to be playing into the Fox News Neo-con playbook lately as well, as evidenced by the communism warning on the front page. I thought Alex Jones didn’t believe in the two-party system, but the articles have a very far-right Republican feel to them as of late. It wasn’t always like that. Thanks again for your insight and setting the article straight. Sometimes Infowars thinks absolutely everything is a conspiracy and a plot to take over America with Communism, or wait was that Socialism?
Your two cents clarify the situation and are important to note. There is a good reason to make every effort to have a decent plan and prep counter plan in place when someone “loses it” and goes ballistic. Fragging and out of control elements happen in every military in every country. There is too much combat stress and lack of integral structures to deal with it so they resort to using psychotropics or lesser drugs to control but there are cracks in the system, big ones. A drill is just a drill. As for the person who is commenting above me, that comment was very agenda driven and used to demean Infowars as a Fountain of Hyperbole when it is a Fountain of Abundant Truth.

CNN has shifted the spin propaganda to the domestic front today. Little talk of Syria or Iran. Now they are on a couple of bizarre incidents involving guns and unjustified ‘self-defense’. They are putting on media antigun spinners to speak about how you should not defend yourself because the government will protect you. Almost all of these are women. Not to be prejudice, but women are more easily manipulated to this agenda. Women are wired for ‘security’. Women look to the family unit and the tribe for protection. When those are removed, then women will believe the state will protect them. But at what cost? Not a good idea.
I think the model for the NWO is the days of castles and kings. You can’t defend yourself and must let the king’s sheriff decide who lives and dies. You will eat the community gruel and not be allowed to hunt in the king’s game preserve. You have no individual rights, but can humbly petition the king for mercy which will be denied. The founding father are turning over in their graves. They staged a revoltion and wrote a constitution to end this bull.
There have been more incidents of soldiers and specifically Navy going rogue and postal than have ever been reported. There have been individual incidents reported on. Just the tip of the iceberg. Interesting shoot em out. The real rogue incidents would make this look like a dog and pony show.
