Barack Obama has read the riot act to the leaders of several European countries – saying more dramatic action is needed to avert a eurozone meltdown.
The U.S. President made telephone calls to German Chancellor Angela Merkel, French President Nicolas Sarkozy and Italian President Giorgio Napolitano late last night.
Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner said the president had demanded faster action from Europe.
It came as Hong Kong revealed it had plunged into recession.
Speaking from the Asia-Pacific Economic Co-operation conference, Geithner said: ‘The crisis in Europe remains the central challenge to global growth.
‘It is crucial that Europe move quickly to put in place a strong plan to restore financial stability.’

Obama, you moron, do you really think you can personally solve this problem by admonishing the leaders of other countries, when it was the English Banking system along with the FED and the lack of oversight of the monitary fiscal policy which is bringing down the economies of Europe.
What you are doing is too little, too late and appears you are just tilting at windmills in dire hope that the American people will think you are doing something of value. No amount of harranging on governmental leaders will solve this problem. They, as yourself, don’t have a clue how to solve all of our debt problems, except in a collective crash. You know this, and we know you know this, so stop with all the pretense. It makes you look like a fool !!!
