Occupation arrests 27 Palestinians in West Bank

Days of Palestine, West Bank –Israeli occupation forces arrested on Monday night at least 27 Palestinian citizens in different areas across occupied West Bank.

Most of them were arrested from the small village of Silwad in the northeast of the main West Bank city of Ramallah.

Palestinian Prisoner Centre (PPC) reported 13 Palestinians arrested from that village during night raids of civilians’ houses.

In Ramallah itself, the Israeli occupation forces stormed two houses, searched them thoroughly and arrested two Palestinian citizens.

Six other Palestinian citizens were arrested from the city of Al-Khalil, in the south of the occupied West Bank.

The Israeli occupation forces stormed the village of Marah Rabah in Bethlehem and arrested a Palestinian citizen.

Meanwhile, six Israeli armoured vehicles stormed the West Bank city of Tulkarm and arrested two Palestinians. In Qalqilya, the Israeli occupation forces arrested two and arrested one more in Nablus.

Since last October, the Israeli forces intensified arrest campaigns against Palestinians. The UN documented at least 347 such raids in the last two weeks of December 2015 alone.
