Prince Harry praises Bahamas schoolchildren on Jubilee tour

Anna, who lives on the island of Abaco, was named Bahamas Primary School
Student of the Year 2011 for her academic achievements.

“Oh my gosh, it was amazing to meet Prince Harry. I was so excited and I just
loved it and can’t wait to tell my family about it,” she said.

Later at a reception celebrating Bahamian youth leaders, Prince Harry met two
reigning beauty queens who were invited to the reception because of their
charity work.

Anastagia Pierre, 23 had professed her intention to marry Prince Harry, but
when the reigning Miss Bahamas finally met him at a reception today, she was
suddenly struck by a bout of shyness.

She said the Prince laughed off newspaper stories in which she said she was
“in love” with the third in line to the throne.

“I didn’t ask him to marry me,” she admitted. “I was presented to him as ‘the
one that everyone has been talking about’ and he said ‘So you’re the one!’

Before The Bahamas, the Prince visited Belize as part of his royal tour
representing the Queen and he will visit Jamaica and Brazil before returning
home.
