Prosecutor objects to Dr Murray’s conviction appeal in death of Michael Jackson (Video)

Valerie Wass, who is Dr Murray’s lawyer, is in the process of helping Dr Murray to challenge the decision which sent him to jail. Wass claims Superior Court Judge Michael Pastor, who oversaw his 2011 trial and sentencing, made a series of serious legal errors in the case by failing to sequester the jury and by failing to ban TV coverage of the court proceedings. Wass has also alleged jurors should have been allowed to hear details about Jackson’s poor finances and his contract with concert promoters AEG Live during the trial.

However, Supervising Deputy Attorney General Victoria B. Wilson has hit back at these claims and has called for the guilty verdict to be upheld. Wilson has written, “The record shows that Murray was playing Russian roulette with Mr. Jackson’s life over the course of several months… The argument in the appeal is nothing more than the reflection of a criminal defendant who harbors no sense of responsibility or remorse for taking the life of a human being.”

News.com.au reported on an AP story, Michael Jackson doctor Conrad Murray’s appeal should be rejected, court told. Supervising Deputy Attorney General Victoria B. Wilson says the involuntary manslaughter conviction of Michael Jackson’s doctor should not be overturned because there were no serious errors made by the judge who oversaw his criminal case. Wilson’s filing has also stated jurors were presented with overwhelming evidence, and that Murray’s actions caused Jackson’s death and his conviction should be upheld.

Wilson has a point in alleging that Murray was playing Russian roulette with Mr. Jackson’s life by carelessly prescribing dangerous drugs for him. If Michael Jackson had turned to a purist in the area of Natural Mental Health Care for assistance with his mental health concerns, chances are he would still be alive and entertaining us today.
