(Reuters) – Turkey said on Friday it had lost contact with one of its military aircraft while it was over the sea off the southeastern coast, and a television station said it had crashed in Syrian territorial waters.

CNN Turk television said Turkey was in contact with the Syrian authorities to get permission to conduct a search for the airmen, although there was no immediate official confirmation.

Pro-Iranian Al-Mayadeen television station, which is based in Lebanon, quoted what it said were Turkish sources as saying a jet had been shot down by Syrian air defenses near the border with Turkey. There was no confirmation of that report.

  1. How convenient….Just when we need Turkey to commit to ground troops in the Syrian invasion, a Turkish plane gets shot down. Either no actual plane was shot down or a pilotless drone was shot down. I just can’t believe their lies anymore.

It apparently is a fact according to RT News
    http://www.rt.com/news/turkey-…..t-sea-498/

“Turkish warplane shot down over Syria, pilots captured – witness to RT”

There were two Turkish (that means NATO) aircraft both were hit the one went down in Syrian territory and the other one may have gone down in the Mediterranean waters off Syria.
They are still searching for the other plane.
    Good shootin men!

This looks like it may get real interesting. Putin warned Obammie but these guys just don’t listen.
Why doesn’t the US or Israel try their luck at some airstrikes over Syria with some of their aircraft. They can parade those pilots around on Syrian TV alongside those Turkish/NATO pilots.

  2. Very true…how sad is it when if you want the truth about ANYTHING look at the exact opposite of what we are told ! then you are closer to the truth….i believe nothing especially if i see it with my own eyes….3 dimensional site is very limited

even if you see with your own eyes does it mean you can explain the truth? look at 9/11 ????

how many of us seem to have seen planes hiting the towers???? who can say otherwise?

BUt did we see what realy happened? not shure about that. things went wrong in there operation: like announcing 20 minutes before building 7 fell on it’s print announced live before it actually happened????? another element to think about

it was all programmed folks, live on TV to reach as many innocent naive people as possible.
a human sacrifice diguised in a some sort of reality show with all of Hollywoods technology and more technologies no one here even know about???

  3. We have heard all along about the lethality of the Russian air defense systems. Now it appears it is a fact. Two enemy planes, two hits. Two pilots captured. Priceless!

  4. Would this be one of Russia’s ground to air missiles? If Russia supplies both Syria and Iran with the state-of-art defense weapons, then there will not be another Libya type take-down……in effect, a no fly zone will be in affect AGAINST “NATO”, not for NATO……And folks, without air-power superiority NATO’s got squadoosh. All Russia need do is get these anti-aircraft missiles installed in large numbers throughout Syria and Iran and it’s a big “screw-you and screw-off” to all that would entertain a takeover scheme.

One can only assume they were trying out their brand new, gee whizz Russian SAM systems out on these poor bastards. I guess they (NATO/US) won’t try that shit again for awhile.

They have already (installed these systems including S-300) and most are manned by Russian technicians.
The two aicraft pictured in the first article from RT news are two Turkish (NATO) F-4E Phantoms used for air defense suppression. Supposedly capable of all manner of electronic jamming/warfare capabilities. I guess they didn’t work so good this time.

If the “shoot down” is true, then this will not go unnoticed by the NATO pilots that got a free-pass in Libya. A Russian participation in a bigger way can police these dogs of war. It’s said that “bullies are always cowards”…..And of course Israel has those credentials in three color process…..Russia can quell these said bullies.

Turkey is a NATO country and a major one ergo, those were Turkish NATO aircraft that were sacrificed. I’ll bet the US put them up to testing Syria’s air defenses.
Kind of like a Buck sends out a Doe into a clearing to see if it’s safe. I guess it’s not so much.

  5. Great, give em a taste of their own medecine. Playing nice with these creeps didn’t do much for Lybia did it.

Now those are the kind of “No Fly Zones” we need more of. What do you want to bet the NeoCons In Washington and the UK and France would lose their appetite for war mongering in real short order?

  6. Meanwhile Turkish jets continue to bombard the Kurds in Iraq, Turkey drops its sanctions against France over Armenia, Turkey denies arms shipments to the “Syrian rebels”, and the EU and Turkey begin talks over lowering the requirements of Turks to obtain visas to Europe (they have to agree to help keep all the other illegals out that use Turkey and Cyprus as a jumping off point), none of which makes the US news.

Well then. It will be a new experience for the Turks to get their asses shot out of the sky a few times and their downed surviving pilots in irons in a Syrian gulag. I wonder if the Syrians will torture them?

  7. The Turkish jet wasn’t really “shot down”. It slammed into a Syrian jet who’s pilot was defecting.

  8. Most wars start by “proding” the enemy, to see what they can get away with. In this case “not much”, thanks to Russian technology. And to the Turkish pilot that crashed into the Mediteranian Sea DON’T WORRY! I hear the white sharks love Turkey. (i’m a sicko ha)
