A MAN has been repeatedly stabbed by two attackers in Melbourne’s southeast, just an hour after another Melbourne man was stabbed in his home.
The 36-year-old Chadstone man suffered numerous stab wounds to his leg and arm after he was confronted and assaulted by two men at Power Avenue, Chadstone, after midnight (AEST) today, police said.
He was taken to The Alfred hospital in a stable condition while his attackers fled the scene.
In an unrelated incident just an hour earlier, another 36-year-old man was repeatedly stabbed in the head after answering a knock at his door in West Melbourne.
The man was entertaining guests in his room at a share house when he answered the knock at his Roden Street home after 11pm yesterday.
When he opened the door, he was stabbed in the head numerous times by an unidentified man who fled the scene.

Emergency services found the victim in his garden, suffering lacerations to his head before taking him to the Royal Melbourne Hospital in a serious condition.
