GETTING MORE PERSONAL: Google‘s search engine is importing content posted on its rapidly growing Plus social network in its latest step toward providing unique results tailored for each of its users.
OBJECTIVITY QUESTIONS: Among the changes announced Tuesday, Google search results now will include recommendations about made people and companies in their Plus accounts. Similar suggestions from accounts on Facebook and Twitter won’t be included. That difference could amplify concerns Google Inc. is abusing its dominance of Internet search to promote its other services.
THE GOALS: Google hopes to make its search engine more useful and to prod people to use Plus more.
