MMMMM: Online deals site LivingSocial is unveiling an Internet food-ordering service. Hungry customers will be able to order food from participating restaurants over the Internet for pickup or delivery.
ROLLOUT: The service is launching Thursday in 26 U.S. markets, including Atlanta, Chicago, Boston and San Francisco. The two largest, Los Angeles and New York, are coming later.
THE MECHANICS: People using the takeout and delivery service must have a LivingSocial account, but they don’t have to sign up for daily deals emails. Restaurants share with LivingSocial the revenue they bring in through the site.
