A teenager has stabbed his neighbour’s dog to death in a violent dispute in Ipswich, west of Brisbane, according to police.
Officers say about that 4.40pm yesterday two men, one of them armed with a knife, got involved in a heated altercation.
“An argument of some description has occurred and the gentleman has allegedly stabbed the dog multiple times,” a police spokesman said.
Police were called to the scene and the dog, a rottweiler, was taken to a veterinary clinic, however it died shortly after.
A 17-year-old has been charged with going armed so as to cause fear and unlawful killing of an animal.
He will appear in Ipswich Magistrates Court today.
