Police are investigating whether four teenagers were involved in a weekend crime spree in Melbourne’s west.

Three boys aged between 13 and 15 and a 15-year-old girl are being questioned over an armed robbery, a police pursuit and a hit-and-run.

Police were chasing a stolen car in Melton around 1:00am (AEST) but called it off after it was deemed too dangerous.

The car was found dumped in a creek at Ardeer and the teenagers were arrested after being chased by the dog squad.

Police say they are investigating whether the teenagers were involved in an armed robbery at a Deer Park service station on Sunday morning and a hit and run that injured a security guard at a Sydenham shopping centre just before the Melton chase.
