LONDON, (PIC)– The third conference for Palestinian refugees in Europe kicked off in the British capital on Monday in the presence of politicians, parliamentarians, and academicians from various European countries.
The weeklong event is hosted by the Palestinian Return center (PRC) and would include political, academic, and informational activities to be concurrently launched in London, Brussels, and Geneva.
A political workshop would initiate the event in London in the presence of British MPs and politicians. Statement for UNRWA and for the PRC would be delivered during the event.
In Geneva, a seminar would cap the activities and would tackle the conditions of Palestinian refugees in 2012 with special emphasis on the refugees in Iraq.
A documentary film depicting the suffering of Palestinian refugees would be screened in a number of European cities during the week while a number of bulletins and studies would be distributed including opinion of refugees in the West Bank on their humanitarian conditions.
The event would coincide with the UN day for refugees on 20 June that is celebrated for one week each year in the period 18 – 24 June.
