Tunisia holds children, youth filmfest

Iran’s Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults has taken part at the international section of the event along with Iran’s Farabi Cinema Foundation.

According organizers of the festival, the event is “dedicated to cinema for children and young people from different countries around the world particularly in the Third World.”

The festival is an open space for children and young adults, and aims to focus on educational and cultural aspects as well as family values.

The event includes several workshops in different fields such as picture, screenplay, sound editing, film editing, make-up, animation, video, music and TV news.

Several national and international feature-length and short productions will also be screened at the film competition section of the festival.

Several countries from all over world have participated in the event including Iran, Egypt, France, Algeria, Nigeria and Romania.

The 9th International Film Festival for Children and Youth of Sousse (FIFEJ) kicked off on March 27, 2012 and will run until April 2.
