The father of Buford Rogers, the latest pasty terrorist for the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI), asserted that the firearms found at the residence attributed to Rogers is actually his father’s – as well as the trailer itself.

Jeff Rogers said: “All the guns are registered to me. He doesn’t live here and hasn’t for over year.”

Jeff explained that his son “is not a terrorist. He is not out to bomb anyone. He’s a patriot like we all should be. We are not out to blow up buildings… and none of this crap they are saying about us. We have never done a violent thing like that in our lives.”

Jeff’s wife snickered at the claims of the FBI that there were pipe bombs found in the trailer. Margaret Rogers said: “Bombs in the house, gimme a break! If there were we’d have known about it and we’d have told him to take them apart. And his girlfriend wouldn’t have stood for it.”

Jeff and Margaret explain that the FBI took piping scraps that were used to repair the plumbing, along with common household chemicals and suddenly they were in possession of alleged components of an improvised explosive device.

The FBI has transferred Buford Rogers to federal custody, charging him with knowingly and lawfully possessing a firearm.

Buford was arrested by agents from the FBI domestic terrorism squad discovered a “gun and explosive devices” inside his father’s residence.

Both local and federal authorities claim Buford was in the “planning stages” while deciding where in Minnesota he wanted to attack. They assert that Rogers was planning on attacking Montevideo whose residents total as 5,000 and is located 130 miles from Minneapolis.

Christopher Warrener, special agent for the Minneapolis FBI office, said: “Cooperation between the FBI and its federal, state, and local partners enabled law enforcement to prevent a potential tragedy in Montevideo.”

Authorities emphasize that the Rogers arrest was evidence of a “militia type” terrorist threat. MSM reported: “‘Bucky’ Rogers, MN man allegedly working on terror plot, formed group w/ anti-govt tendencies called ‘[Viper] Black Snake Militia’ per Montevideo PD.”

Minneapolis Police Chief Adam Christopher explained that Buford was assumed to have targeted local police in his militia organization and would have attacked those officers if not apprehended.

Christopher said he was “aware of threats” but declined to reveal any specifics ot the press.

The Viper Black Snake Militia (VBSM) states on the website that they are “an American patriot willing to lay down my life so we may take our republic back.”

Mark Pitcavage, militia researcher for the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) states that the VBSM has slowly gained ground as a credible threat with 50 active members.

Pitcavage said that there are “a whole lot of little militia cells out there with 6-8 people in there, which is what this seems to be. … It’s teeny tiny, it’s probably a group of like-minded friends who believe some of the same things.”

Having worked with the ADL in demonizing militia groups since the Oklahoma City Bombing, Pitcavage has become a watchdog for other propaganda groups such as the Center for Democratic Renewal and the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC).

According to the ADL, militias are “the youngest of the major right-wing anti-government movements in the United States (the sovereign citizen movement and the tax protest movement are the two others) yet it has seared itself into the American consciousness as virtually no other fringe movement has.”

They are described as having “extreme anti-government ideology, along with their elaborate conspiracy theories and fascination with weaponry and paramilitary organization, lead many members of militia groups to act out in ways that justify the concerns expressed about them by public officials, law enforcement and the general public.”

Buford is being painted as an extremist militia member who has white supremacist ties based on Facebook postings which state: “The NOW [New World Order] has taken all your freedoms the right to bear arms freedom of speech freedom of the press.”

Margaret said that her son’s Facebook page is being used against Buford. She asserts that her son would never have committed a violent act, as the FBI and MSM claim he was planning.

Because Buford had congregated in the past with his brothers in camouflage clothing and held signs explaining about government surveillance using RFID chips, authorities say that he was a domestic terrorist.

The FBI have turned their attention to militia groups, labeling them as right-wing extremists bent on enacting domestic terrorism.

Militias are proposed to be “paramilitary groups that follow a military-style rank hierarchy. They tend to stockpile illegal weapons and ammunition, trying illegally to get their hands on fully automatic firearms or attempting to convert weapons to fully automatic. They also try to buy or manufacture improvised explosive devices and typically engage in wilderness, survival, or other paramilitary training.”

The FBI states that they are targeting “the government itself – including law enforcement personnel, representatives of the courts, and other public officials, along with government buildings. When caught, most militia extremists are charged with weapons, explosives, and/or conspiracy violations.”

As conspiracy theorists, militias “often train and prepare for what they foresee as an inevitable invasion of the U.S. by United Nations forces. Many militia extremists also wrongly believe that the federal government will relocate citizens to camps controlled by the Federal Emergency Management Agency, or force them to undergo vaccinations.”

In response, the FBI is conducting intelligence and surveillance operations on militia groups, conspiracy theorists, and those deemed “extremists” to devise “tactics and trends” with the combination of “coordinated law enforcement efforts, and an informed public is the most effective way to counter the threats posed by domestic extremists.”
