Why Trump’s Wall Would Never Work In The UK

The whole world was left shocked and stunned when President Donald Trump declared that he would be having an “impenetrable, physical, tall, powerful, beautiful, southern border wall” built between the USA and Mexico.

As it stands the border is around 1,900 miles long and takes in various terrains. Trump’s wall is expected to stretch around 1000 miles of that with the hope that the natural objects already in place will take care of the rest.

Not only that, but President Trump has an executive order in place that denies people entry to the United States if they are from seven specific countries. As it stands, people from Iran, Iraq, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and the Yemen will not be allowed entry into the USA on any sort of US visa or travel permit. The countries acceptance of Syrian refugees has also been terminated permanently.

You could draw similarities between President Trump’s stance on immigration and Brexit in some cases. It seems that people wishing to head over to the United Kingdom to live and work, will be met with strict criteria to meet in able to gain entry. Immigration law is about to change considerably for both nations and the reality is that if people do wish to enter the United States of America or the United Kingdom their best bet is to consult immigration lawyers first to get as much professional advice as possible.

Many people have already expressed their thoughts on the matter and have suggested that Brexit is literally just as bad as Trump’s wall, because it means that the UK is putting up barriers due to wanting to leave the European Union. In a sense it’s as if the United Kingdom will be cut off from the rest of the world, like they have started to construct their own version of Trump’s wall. In effect it feels like Brits are becoming more and more cut off from the rest of the world.

A version of Trump’s wall would simply never work in the United Kingdom. Can you imagine England’s borders between themselves and the Channel Island’s being protected by a huge wall? Or even between England and Ireland? It’s such a ludicrous idea and even though it would never happen, the public reaction would be huge, just as it already has been since President Trump announced his plans to get the wall erected as soon as possible.

What Trump is hell bent on doing is first of all keeping Mexican’s out of the United States by not allowing them over the border full stop. Not only is he banning Mexican’s entering the country, but he’s imposed strict immigration laws that prevent people from the seven countries listed at the start of the article from entering the USA either. There’s no room for refugees either after Trump really beefed up his nation’s stance on immigration law. So the only solution really is for a person to know their rights and a good immigration lawyer.
