Well, after decades of the US media tut-tutting China on their airbrushed media and censorship policies, it’s “back at ya.”
An editor at China Daily rails that the US media “blackout” of the Wall Street protests is “shameful:”
Perhaps this is why the mainstream media suddenly got off their duffs and went down to the protests yesterday.
(Another reason is that the protests suddenly got real visibility over the weekend, when the protestors blocked traffic on the Brooklyn Bridge).
For what it’s worth, we’ve been covering the protests for weeks. Don’t miss Julia La Roche’s exclusive embedded-journalist report on what it’s really like…

“For what it’s worth, we’ve been covering the protests for weeks.” Exactly. Only the mainstream media is guilty of censoring news but that’s nothing new. Why do they think alternative news sites are becomming so popular (even when 90% of thier content is BS on some sites, like b4n)? I’d far rather choose to ignore BS articles than not get a choice to read about true stories that don’t fit in with the current agenda.
