Israeli forces fire artillery shells on Gaza

Days of Palestine, Gaza Strip -For the second time since Wednesday morning, Israeli occupation forces fired several artillery shells on Gaza Strip.

Our reporter said that the Israeli occupation fired two shells towards military posts of the Palestinian border guards spread along the eastern borders of Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip.

In the afternoon, Palestinian security sources reported two Israeli artillery shells fired at the military posts of the Palestinian border guards opposite to the Israeli Sofa Military Post.

According to the Israeli media reported Israeli military claims that the artillery shelling came in response to Palestinian mortar attacks launched from Gaza.

Since the end of the Israeli 2014 offensive on Gaza, Palestinian border guards have been stationed along the borders in order to prevent any attempted violations of the truce signed between the resistance movements in Gaza and Israel.

However, Israel breach the truce on a daily basis as its army opens fire at Palestinian farmers and fishermen. Several causalities had been reported ever since.
