Awake Goy Israeli court sentenced on Wednesday morning Palestinian girl Malak Salman, 17, from Jerusalem to ten years in prison.
The Palestinian girl, who has been inside Israeli jails since February 2, 2016, was indicted with carrying a knife and trying to kill Israelis.
Head of Prisoners’ Families Committee in Jerusalem Amjad abu-Asab criticised the ruling of the Israeli court, describing it “oppressive.”
Abu-Asab refuted the Israeli claims that she had a knife and attempted to stab Israeli people when she was kidnapped by the Israeli occupation forces.
“The little girl was heavily beaten by a group of Israeli soldiers at one of the gates of Al-Aqsa Mosque before she was kidnapped and sent to prison,” he said.
It is worth mentioning that the Israeli court adjourned the announcement of the decision against Salma more than 24 times.
Several times, CCTV cameras caught Israeli soldiers attacking and shooting Palestinians, including women, boys and girls without any reason and they claim they attempted to carry out stabbing attacks.
In many cases, the Israeli occupation soldiers were caught shooting motionless wounded Palestinians after they were shot during or after they allegedly attacked Israelis.
