The Zionist Federation of Australia welcomes the news that the Israeli Attorney-General will likely indict Yaakov Litzman for interfering in the Malka Leifer criminal case.
In August 2019, the ZFA welcomed the Israeli Police recommendation that he be charged, and have called for it to happen since that time.
ZFA President Jeremy Leibler said, “Notwithstanding the unacceptable delays in having Malka Leifer face justice in Australia, we are confident that Israel’s justice system remains willing and able to hold to account anyone who has broken the law, regardless of their position. The apparent decision to indict Litzman is further proof of that. We stand with Dassi, Elly and Nicole, and all survivors of Leifer’s alleged abuse.”
