LONDON, Ont. – Ten jurors have been selected so far in London, Ont., in the trial of a man accused of killing an eight-year-old girl.
Michael Rafferty, 31, has pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder, sexual assault causing bodily harm and kidnapping in the death of Victoria Stafford.
Tori disappeared while on her way home from school on April 8, 2009, and her body was found three months later.
Terri-Lynne McClintic, now 21, has already been convicted of first-degree murder in the girl’s death.
Potential jurors were screened out for various reasons on Monday and Tuesday and seven jurors were selected on Wednesday as the lawyers work to pick 12 jurors and two alternates.
Today three more jurors have been chosen so far for a total of seven women and three men.
