The reclusive Heizer is known for his monumental works including Double
Negative, a 1,500ft long, 50ft deep trench which involved moving 240,000
tons of rock near his home in the Nevada desert.
For Levitated Mass, museum visitors will be able to walk under the rock in
such a way that it will appear to be floating above them.
