The attack took place in the city of Quetta, the provincial capital and largest city of Balochistan province. Bethel Memorial Methodist Church was the target, local Geo TV said.
According to Balochistan Home Minister Sarfaraz Ahmad Bugti, two suicide bombers targeted the church, one of whom was shot dead outside. The other bomber blew himself up inside the church, he added.
“Police were quick to react and stop the attackers from entering the main hall,” provincial police chief Moazzam Jah told AFP.
Attack of terrorists on Zarghoon road church in Quetta is condemned. Pakistan’s resolve against terrorism cannot be deterred by these cowardly acts.

Both attackers were also reportedly carrying weapons, the minister stated. It is not clear how many people were in the church at the time of the attack. Bugti said that around 300-400 people usually attend the church on Sundays.
