A boy shot in the leg is the fifth shooting victim in Sydney over the Easter holiday.
The 17-year-old arrived at a hospital in Mt Druitt, in Sydney’s west, about 1pm (AEST) on Monday with a gunshot wound to his leg, police say.
Officers arrived a short time later and are working to determine the circumstances of the shooting.
It follows four other shootings in Sydney since Friday.
A man was shot in the shoulder inside a packed strip club in Sydney’s Kings Cross on Sunday night, after a 43-year-old man had been shot in the early hours of Sunday at Pendle Hill in the city’s west.
Late on Saturday, a 22-year-old man was shot at Auburn, and on Friday a 24-year-old man was shot in the legs at Merrylands.
