Arrest warrants for PNG”s deputy PM and Attorney-General.

In Papua New Guinea the government and judiciary are at loggerheads over the suspension of Chief Justice Sir Salamo Injia.

Yesterday the PNG government suspended the country’s top judge and leveled serious allegations of misconduct against the Chief Justice.

But today the Supreme Court hit back ordering a stay the government’s suspension and the arrest of both acting Prime Minister Belden Namah and the Attorney-General Allan Marat on contempt charges.

The startling events have caught many by surprise
