Bob Katter targeting Coast seats

MAVERICK politician Bob Katter is moving in on the Gold Coast with the `Katter Party’ poised to run a candidate in every seat on the Glitter Strip.

Mr Katter is plotting to attack all eight Gold Coast seats in a bid to hold the balance of power in Queensland.

It can be revealed that Cobb Law principal Peter Cobb will run in the seat of Coomera against sitting LNP member Michael Crandon.

The revelations comes as Dalrymple LNP member Shane Knuth yesterday defected to Katter’s Australian Party.

KAP state leader Aidan McLindon confirmed Mr Cobb was a candidate and that the party intended to contest every Coast seat.

“Everything is important in this election,” he said.

Mr Crandon said he was unaware, but not surprised, KAP had a candidate against him.

“I’m expecting a full field against me. I’m expecting Australian Party, Queensland Party, Greens, Daylight Savings party and the ALP,” he said.

“I’m not necessarily concerned about anything other than defending my position in the Coomera electorate.”
