Russia cuts off the gas supplies to Ukraine, said the Head of the “Gazprom” Alexey Miller.

‘Today, at 10 am, the “Naftogaz” pumped out all previously prepaid volumes of Russian gas. We haven’t received a new pre-payment. There is no application for the supply of gas from the “Naftogaz” either,’ informed Alexey Miller.

The Chairman of the Board of the energy company added that the deliveries could be resumed as soon as Russia received a pre-payment from Ukraine.

The refusal to purchase the Russian gas presents serious risks to the reliable transit of gas to Europe via Ukraine,’ explained the Head of the “Gazprom”.

On November 23, the Head of the “Gazprom” Alexey Miller threatened to stop gas supplies to Ukraine in the near future if Kiev didn’t make an advance payment.
