AL-KHALIL – Lawyer Jawad Boulus, of the Palestinian Prisoners Society, said on Tuesday afternoon that the Israeli authorities have moved Bilal Diab, 27, from the Ramla prison hospital to Assaf Harofeh Hospital near the settlement of Rishon LeZion after serious deterioration in his health sending him into a coma.

Diab, who hails from the village of Kafr Rai in the Jenin district, has been on hunger strike for 66 days to protest his administrative detention without charge or trial.

Boulus said that the Diab’s health deteriorated to a critical stage as he is suffering from low blood pressure, low heartbeat and severe pain in his stomach. He added that other hunger strikers are vomiting blood, their hair is falling and are suffering drowsiness and loss of consciousness.

Human rights organisation warned on Tuesday that the health situation of Bilial Diab and Thaer Halhleh who have been on strike for more than two months is critical and could die anytime.
