Chicago Mayhem: 20 Shootings in 16 Hours

The 70 percent nonwhite city of Chicago has set a new record for shootings, with 20 reported in just 16 hours, resulting in at least two deaths—a dramatic upturn in the violence which has become a feature of all majority black and Hispanic American cities.

According to a report in the Chicago Tribune—which of course is careful not to mention race—the rampage from Wednesday to Thursday this week included several disparate incidents, mostly involving drive-by shootings.

According to the Chicago Tribune’s homicide monitor, there have been 238 fatal shootings this year in Chicago, compared to 489 for all of last year.

The Chicago Tribune also reported earlier in April that the city had topped its 1,000 shooting “weeks earlier” than previous years.

The increase in shootings and homicides is linked to two factors: the exponentially growing nonwhite population, spurred on by massive Hispanic immigration, and the “Black Lives Matter” movement, which has forced many police departments around the country onto the defensive.

As a result, the criminal mayhem which marks all Third World countries is rapidly engulfing all major US cities, as the Chicago example bears out.
