In November, I posted about Bo Muller-Moore, the Vermont t-shirt salesmen who is being sued by fast food giant Chick-fil-A because his slogan, “Eat More Kale,” is too close to their copyrighted slogan, “Eat More Chikin.” Since then, Muller-Moore has been waging a battle against the suit, and lots of people have joined him. Now, he’s looking to bring as much media attention to the case as possible, by making a documentary about the fight.

Muller-Moore isn’t the first to have an “Eat More ______” slogan attacked. Chick-fil-A has filed lawsuits against 30 other businesses they accuse of similar copyright infringement. But Bo isn’t going down easy: “Cease and desist?? Like hell. I’ve decided to fight.”

To make A Defiant Dude, Muller-Moore has teamed up with filmmaker James Lantz, and the two have launched a Kickstarter campaign to secure $75,000 of funding. As of Friday afternoon, they’re more than halfway there, but only have until March 25 to close the gap. From the preview below, the film looks like a good one- so pitch in a few bucks, help the guys make a feature length project, and stand up for small businesses against corporate bullying.
