CAIRO, (PIC)– Egyptian president Mohammed Morsi has announced that his country stands at equal distance from all Palestinian factions.
He told a joint press conference with his Tunisian counterpart Al-Moncef Al-Marzouki in Cairo on Friday that the Palestinians have the right to determine the type of relations with each other.
Morsi said that Cairo would help and support the Palestinian people, declaring support for their right to self-determination and statehood.
Marzouki, for his part, said that his country would seek to push forward the Palestinian reconciliation.
The Tunisian president arrived in Cairo on Friday on a two-day official visit to Egypt.
