India hosts 20th World Book Fair

The event is organized by India’s National Book Trust (NBT), which publishes more than 1,200 books in 30 languages every year.

The exhibition hosts around 1300 exhibitors and 12,000 publishers and displays thousands of book in more than 20 languages and different fields such as science and technology, health, business, social sciences, humanities and medicine.

This year’s book fair is held under the title of ‘Literature and Cinema’ as the event is held along with the country’s film festival.

Several countries from Europe, Asia and Americas have participated in the event, including France, Turkey, Iran, Malaysia and Mexico.

The event is considered to be the third biggest market for English publications and has gained its popularity on a global level.

The 20th New Delhi World book fair kicked off on February 25 and will run until March 4, 2012.
