On Saturday March 10th the Ireland Palestine Solidarity Campaign ‘CRH and The Israeli Apartheid Wall’ road show travelled to Limerick. It is street theatre event to create public awareness about CRH. We are petitioning CRH to divest from Israel, to date they have refused. Our aim is to have 10,000 signatures by the time of the AGM in early May. http://www.thepetitionsite.com/1/crh-plc-stop-cementing-misery-in-palestine/ The IPSC is asking the Ireland based company, CRH plc, to respect the human rights of the Palestinian people by divesting their 25% share of Israel’s sole cement producer, Nesher Cement Enterprises .

This cement is being extensively used in the construction of the illegal West Bank wall and the massive expansion of illegal settlements in the occupied territories of Palestine.

These activities are illegal under international law.

In order to make way for these construction projects Palestinian homes are being demolished and their farms are being destroyed daily.

Life for the Palestinian people living under occupation has become all but impossible as they attempt to negotiate their way past over 500 checkpoints and road closures;
children cannot get to their schools; farmers cannot access their land; workers queue for hours to get through checkpoints; and the sick are prevented from getting to hospitals.
