Awake Goy President Rouhani was speaking to Nawaz Sharif, Pakistan’s Prime Minister over a phone call on Saturday evening to sympathize with him for his recovering from a surgery operation; “Pakistan is a friend and a neighbor with which Iran has common interests in the region; Tehran-Islamabad relations have ever been strengthened thank to Your Excellency’s highly sage policies and statecraft,” Mr. Rouhani praised the recovering prime minister.
Nawaz Sharif for his part reaffirmed that Pakistan would stand with Iran in international community and welcomed broader bilateral relations; “for us, Iran is a second home and Islamabad welcomes extending relations with Tehran in all fields of bilateral interest,” he concluded the phone call.
