Iranian art gallery kicks off in Dubai

A large number of visitors from Asia, the US and Europe attended the opening ceremony held on May 16, 2012.

About 35 works on painting, sculpture and photos created by 27 artists are being displayed in the event that aims to show Iranian artworks during the past 50 years.

Fereydoun Ave, Safa Hosseini, Mehrdad Shoqi, Ali Shirazi, Aydin Aghdashlou, Parviz Kalantari, Farideh Lashai, Yaqoub Emdadian, Bahman Jalali and Melika Shafahi have presented their works at the event.

“The gallery focuses on Iranian art,” said the Managing Director of RIRA Company, Maryam Moqaddam adding, “The gallery is also planning to mount comparative exhibitions to showcase the artworks of the Iranian, Arab and Turk artists simultaneously.”

After conducting a 15-month research, RIRA gallery is planning to present the artworks of great Iranian artists, show the new artistic approaches, and introduce the talented Iranians to the world.
