Dr Aryeh Avni lost his license to practice medicine in Israel after he was found to be promoting fake information about the Coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccines and promoted a boycott on them.

The Ministry of Health announced Tuesday the revocation of Avni’s license permanently.

Retired Judge Amnon Strashnov’s decision on the issue stated that “there is no doubt that in his harsh and blatant statements in articles he published on the internet, on Facebook and recently also on YouTube, against the Coronavirus vaccination – there is a real danger to public safety and health.”

Israel’s Channel 13 uncovered back in June that Avni was forging vaccine booklets, prescribing medications for the treatment of Corona and writing exemptions notes from wearing masks, all for a fee.

In related news, the family of Osnat Ben-Shitrit who died this week of COVID-19 while being 32 weeks pregnant, has launched a campaign in support of the vaccines after leading a campaign opposing them.

Osnat did not suffer from other illnesses and was only 31 years old. She was survived by her husband and four small children, including a one-year-old baby.

“We are all getting vaccinated and we take it upon ourselves to convince others to do so and save lives,” the campaign stated.

Following the tragic incident, Osnat’s relative confessed in an interview to the media that he had been an opponent to the vaccines and led a group of thousands of members on the issue.

He announced the group’s closure admitted that “until it reaches you, you don’t think about it seriously.”

The Ministry of Health updated Tuesday night that over 4,531,000 Israelis have received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, some 48.9% of the population.
