Awake Goy Days of Palestine, West Bank -Israeli occupation forces have just executed Palestinian woman and child at Qalandia Checkpoint in occupied West Bank.
Eyewitnesses said that the woman was walking to cross the checkpoint when the Israeli occupation forces stationed there opened fire towards her.
“The Israeli forces shot at least 15 live bullets at the woman,” the eyewitness told Days of Palestine. “She fell on the ground and remained bleeding to death,” he added.
Palestinian sources identified the woman as Maram abu-Ismail, 24.
At the same incident, several eyewitnesses said that a Palestinian boy approached the woman after she was shot and fell in the ground. “He might be her relative,” an eyewitness said, “but the Israeli forces shot him dead.” The boy’s identity is still unknown.
Spokesman of the Palestinian Red Crescent said that they sent two ambulances; one from Qalandia and the other from Jerusalem, but the Israeli forces prevented them from offering first-aid or evacuating the two Palestinians.
“We received reports that two Palestinians were shot at Qalandia checkpoint and they were bleeding,” he told Days of Palestine. “We immediately sent two ambulances, but the Israeli occupation prevented them from approaching the wounded, who remained bleeding to death.”
Israeli media reported Israeli army spokespersons claiming that the woman had a knife and attempted to stab an Israeli soldier.
However, the eyewitnesses refuted these claims. In addition, the description of the area, where the execution took place, proves that it is illogical that the woman planned to stab any Israel as she was shot more than 30 metres far from the soldiers.
