Israeli occupation murders Palestinian boy in West Bank

Israeli occupation forces murdered on Saturday evening Palestinian boy in the town of Urif in the outskirts of West Bank city of Nablus.

The Palestinian boy, who was later on identified as Omair Shehadeh, 16, was among a number of Palestinian civilians attacked by Israeli Jewish settlers.

Eyewitnesses said that the Israeli Jewish settlers descended from the illegal Israeli Jewish-only settlement of Yithar, which is built on Palestinian lands.

Yitzhar is notorious for being a hotbed for acts of Israeli Jewish extremism, especially among the settlement’s youth population.

Israeli Jewish settlers of Yitzhar are responsible for undertaking violent ‘price tag’ attacks against Palestinian citizens in retaliation for perceived anti-settlement policy from the Israeli central government.

In 2015, settlers firebombed a Palestinian home in the village of Duma, killing an 18-month-old child along with his parents in one such ‘price tag’ attack.
