Awake Goy Tehran, July 18, IRNA – Majlis (parliament) Speaker Ali Larijani in a telephone conversation with his Turkish Speaker Ismail Kahraman said on Monday that time of militarism and coup in the region is over.
Larijani told Kahraman that Iran condemned the mistaken act in the early hours of coup attempt and supported government and nation as well as democratic trend and national sovereignty of Turkey.
He said that fortunately Turkey’s Muslim and great nation showed bravery and different political parties condemned the coup.
Larijani added that Iran wishes peace, stability and tranquility for Turkey.
Iranian Majlis stands by the Turkish parliament, nation and government, he said.
Ismail Kahraman appreciated the stance taken by the Iranian political leaders declaring solidarity with the Turkish government, parliament and said that the great nation of Iran and government always stood by the Turkish people.
Kahraman said that foreign agents are always working against governments of Islamic states in the region with aim to prevent their progress.
‘Unfortunately, some governments are puppets of these foreign elements.’
He said that the goal of foreign powers is to sow discord among Islamic states, but they know very well that the two big countries of Iran and Turkey can not be targeted by enemies plot.
He praised Iran for understanding the sensitive position of Turkey saying that for sure friendship between the two great and Muslim neighbors are sustainable and forever.
